If you’ve been following me for a little while, you know that one of my favorite cities in the world is Richmond, Virginia. Not only do I love exploring, which mostly involves eating, around this city, but I love photographing Richmond weddings and couples too.

When Dynasty contacted me about photographing her and Ryan’s Engagement Session in Richmond, I was all in. Oh, and did I mention that they wanted to include their fur baby, Nena? Y’all already know I’m a crazy dog person, so I couldn’t have been any more excited to work with all three of them! Dynasty and Ryan both moved to Richmond after college and met at a brewery in the city. Um hello, so sweet. They both work in healthcare, and despite hectic schedules, I could tell immediately that their relationship is rock solid.

We started the session at Libby Hill Park, one of my favorite parks in the city because I love the views! I am so glad they were down for an iconic location. Despite the cold, I had so much fun walking around the park, while Nena trotted right along with us, and stopping whenever the lighting and backdrop were picture perfect. Nena had us laughing the entire time, and I sometimes have to stop and pinch myself that getting puppy kisses is a part of my job.

Because Dynasty and Ryan met at a brewery, she asked me if we could end their session at a nearby brewery. Just so everyone knows, the answer will always be yes! Better yet, Stone Brewing allows dogs inside, and apparently Nena is well known there. We all sat down to talk, take some candids, and of course, drink some beer. I honestly couldn’t think of a better way to end a session or get to know these two a little more.

Dynasty & Ryan- Engaged
